Jamie Phillips is the Chief Administrative Officer of Optum CA. She has an extensive background in all areas of managed care including both IPA and medical group operations, network development, medical management and population management both locally and abroad.
She has served in leadership roles of large delegated practices over the past 30 years, managing Medicaid, full risk commercial and senior medical groups throughout Southern California. In her current role, she has executive and operational oversight of delegated functions for six care delivery organizations serving 1100 employed providers Primary Care Physicians and over 15k affiliated providers caring for 1.6M managed lives in California.
Prior to joining Optum in 2016, she served in leadership roles at DaVita HealthCare Partners as senior vice president of operations and senior vice president of New Market Integration. She also worked for CareMore Medical Management Company and for Galaxy Healthcare South Africa.
Phillips is an alumnus of the California Healthcare Foundation, Leadership Fellowship. She earned her BS in Nursing from Creighton University and her masters in Health Administration from the University of LaVerne.
